Phonics
We are learning to listen and record the sounds we can hear. We are able to blend the sounds altogether. We can use our phonics at Story writing and Reading time to help us.

Dinosaurs
We have been reading stories and talking about Dinosaurs.
These photos show the writing process. We started with the 'draft stage', where students try to use the skills they have been taught. After 'conferencing' with the teacher and 'editing', students produce the 'published work' for their audience to enjoy.

Deep in the compost bin!
As
part of our inquiry we have been looking at creatures that dwell in the
darkness of our compost bins.
After
we observed and handled these creatures, watched video clips and read books
about them; we wrote these fabulous stories.

Reading
I am learning to point to each word and use the pictures as a clue.

I am learning to write my numbers in the correct order. I am also learning to count backward from 10.
